Born in 1844 and died in 1909.
A member of the Sicangu Sioux and highly esteemed warrior and medicine man. Fool Bull fought in the battle of The Little Bighorn where General Custer and the entire 7th Cavalry were annihilated by the combined forces of the Sioux and Cheyenne led by Crazy Horse. The buffalo hide war shield that he carried into battle that day is still on exhibit in the Journey Museum in Rapid City. The eagle feathers are marked and trimmed to signify various battle honors and the necklace he wears is made from eagle talons. On his chest one can see the scars from where the skewers attached to rawhide thongs ripped through his skin during one of the Sundance ceremonies that he has undertaken.
